Wockhardt ends weak despite US FDA nod for generic drug

A total of 84,975 shares were traded during the day as against the two-week average of 94,037 shares. _________________________________________________________________________ (Updated at 1052 am) Wockhardt and Sun Pharmaceutical have received final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market generic versions of Nicardipine, the hypertension drug. Following which, share price of Wockhardt jumped to a high of Rs 185, and is now up 1.5% at Rs 183. The counter has seen trades of around 36,600 shares so far on the BSE.
