NABARD to support projects worth Rs 794 cr in TN

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 793.85 crore to implement various projects in Tamil Nadu. - Nabard FY10 advances to exceed Rs 51k crore - NABARD sanctions Rs 135 cr for Himachal Pradesh - Tamil Nadu Newsprint June qtr net dips 71% at Rs 7 cr - Grand rural scheme from Oct - Govt"s financial policy must be pro-agriculture: Nabard - TN to sell desktops for Rs 12,000 According to NABARD"s release the Project Sanctioning Committee for Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) during the meeting, which was held on July 23, sanctioned with a total financial outlay of Rs 439.23 crore for five Projects and RIDF assistance of Rs 354.62 crore under RIDF tranche XV. The projects sanctioned include establishment of dairy cum powder plant of 2 lakh litres per day of milk and 20 mt of milk powder in Tiruvannamalai district, which will help in processing of surplus milk of Milk Producers’ Unions in Villupuram, Trichy, Salem and Vellore districts. It will benefit about 10 lakh milk producers. In addition, projects for construction of “Pay and Use” sanitary complexes in 14 districts of the state, strengthening of village roads spread over 30 districts, construction of 99 bridges in 23 districts and widening and strengthening of other district roads in 14 districts of the state have been sanctioned under RIDF.
